The Provincial Government of Camarines Sur, Philippines under the leadership of Governor Luis Raymund Villafuerte Jr., the CamSur Watersports Complex (CWC) and the World Wakeboard Association (WWA) invite you to the CWC OPEN to be held from May 25-26, 2007. The competition is open to ALL international riders and with over $34,000 in total prize money, this is an event you won't want to miss!
Along with the CWC OPEN is the Kaogma Festival, the World's Hottest Festival in the Philippines that happens from May 19-27, 2007. More than just an ideal site for watersports, the Province of Camarines Sur will be the venue for a variety of parties, contests, parades, other action sports events and concerts to celebrate the Foundation Day of the Province.
REGISTRATION
We would like to encourage all riders to register as soon as possible for the competition. Attached is the registration form with detailed directions and payment options.
The entry fee is $100 and inclusive of the following:
- Free Ride at the Cable Park from May 19-27, 2007
- Free food and drinks for May 25-26
- Access to all events during the Kaogma Festival (from May 19-27,2007)
- Free airport transfers to and from Naga Airport and CWC within the complex (Hotels/CWC/Festival Area)
- Discounted price of $30/ room/ night accommodations for 2, will be given to the registrants inclusive of breakfast for 2.
THE PHILIPPINES
The Philippines is an archipelago of over 7,000 islands off the southeast coast of Asia. The country is divided into 73 provinces and the capital city is Manila. The Philippines has a tropical climate (hot and humid) and the dry season is from March to May. The national language is Filipino, with English being the most widely spoken 2nd language. The Philippine Peso (PHP) is the currency used. The current exchange rate is approximately 48 PHP to 1 US Dollar. The Philippines was a colony of Spain for almost 400 years and in 1898 it was ceded to the U.S. The Filipino people are a blend of many cultures and are known for their kindness, warmth and friendly hospitality.
THE CAMSUR WATERSPORTS COMPLEX (CWC)
The Province of Camarines Sur is in the southeastern part of the island of Luzon. CWC is located Located within the Provincial Capitol Complex of Pili and is just 5 minutes away from the airport in Naga City. The complex is situated on a 6 hectare park and includes a state of the art watersports facility consisting of the only 6 point cable system in the world with 11 obstacles, set against the beautiful backdrop of Mount Isarog, making the setting truly idyllic and picturesque. In addition, there are onsite accommodations, a club house with game room, pool and deck area, restaurant with full menu, sand bar, white sand beach, spas and massage cabanas as well as a pro-shop. Riders can also enjoy their favorite water sports at night as the park is equipped with spotlights. The Camsur Skate Park is scheduled to open in April 2007.
