Gov. LRay welcomes summer
with launching of Lago del Rey

The best of its kind in Asia

Watersports experience will never be the same as Gov. LRay Villafuerte’s tourism program welcomes the advent of summer with the first ever Aqua Fest featuring a star-studded Celebrities Challenge on February 27 and 28.

The Aqua Fest will mark the launching of Gov. Villafuerte’s latest watersports spectacle - Lago del Rey – a giant man-made lake right across the road from the fabulous wakeboard cable lake of the CamSur Watersports Complex (CWC) that offers the best water-based entertainment facilities in Asia.

Intended to balance the cable park’s extreme sports forte, Lago del Rey – a facility expected to be fit for royalty as its name infers – will however offer very affordable wholesome family watersports entertainment including giant water slides, aqua wall climbing, water polo, water volleyball, kayaking, aqua obstacle course, paddle surfing, boat-towed wakeboarding and skiing, dragonboating and, of course, pure and simple swimming.

The lake will also have a Kids’ Activity Center that will provide suitable water-oriented sports and entertainment for children.

Lago del Rey could well boost tourism arrivals in the province by at least fifty percent, Governor Villafuerte said.

Added to the world-renowned attractions of wakeboard cable and Gota Village Resort in Caramoan Peninsula which are presently fully booked way ahead past summer, Lago del Rey is certain to further enhance CamSur’s growing reputation as one of the best tourism destinations in the Philippines.

An unending list of the brightest names in showbiz and the media as well as as a host of personalities from practically every major media outfit will try out the Lago del Rey’s amenities with the two-day Celebrities Challenge that will feature a variety of water-based competitions and contests and a vast array of entertainment..

Expected to grace the occasion are Richard Gomez, Anne Curtis, Joey Marquez, John Estrada, Priscilla Meirelles, Bobby Yan, Bubbles Paraiso, Sal Alonzo, Michelle Madrigal Gaspar, Raymond Gutierrez, Say Alonzo, Kapuso (GMA) and Kapamilya (ABS-CBN) stars and a host others.
