UK Gets Its First 1080

By Wakestuff.co.uk

Nick Davies, a UK based rider, stuck what is being claimed as the first documented 1080 in Europe.

Nick has been at the top of the cable riding ladder for some years now. He has pretty much every cable trick in the book and is still pushing for more. On Friday night, Princes Club in London saw Nick land a switch toeside 1080 off of a Kicker as part of their Wakeboard Under Darkness competition.

After all the people on the dock joked to him about landing it, he went out and hit the kicker on the first lap and seemed to land it as clean as any of the other claimed 10's. With his arm pumping the air in celebration, the move was finally stuck in the UK.

The move was captured on video by Wakestuff.co.uk, so be sure the check it out (Quicktime, 5.2 mb).
