Harf Looks to Repeat in Ft. Worth
By WSM Press Release
Fort Worth, Texas – It has been two years since the Pro Wakeboard Tour last visited the waters of Texas, but for four-time X Games gold medalist Danny Harf, it seems like only yesterday that he claimed victory in the Lone Star State. Harf enters the 2007 MasterCraft Pro Wakeboard Tour coming off an injury, which hindered his performance slightly at the first stop in Acworth, Georgia, but the eight-year wakeboarding veteran looks to repeat his success in Ft. Worth once again and change his fortunes.
"It's always tough coming off an injury, but the more time you put into rehab and practicing, the stronger and healthier you become," said Harf. "Since the injury, I have ridden in a few contests and with the win there a few years ago, I feel confident going into this competition."
That confidence was evident today as Harf led his heat and advanced past the quarterfinals for the Pro Men's division. The 2006 Pro Wakeboard Tour champion paced the four other riders from his heat to proceed to tomorrow's finals. Harf looks to continue his success as he joins the 15 other riders competing on the final day of competition out on Lake Moser.
The Jr. Men's division hit the water today as well for their quarterfinals with a field of 20 riders, each trying to reach tomorrow's semifinals. Only the top-ten riders in today's quarterfinals advanced with Jimmy LaRiche leading the division for the day. Jr. Men's current division leader A.J. Racinelli kept his winning streak alive, as he also advanced past the second round of competition. LaRiche and Racinelli will join the eight remaining Jr. Men riders for the third and final day of competition.
Day three of the 2007 MasterCraft Pro Tour will begin at 10:00 tomorrow morning.
