Cash And Pride On The Line At The Tigé Pro-Am

Abilene, Texas – Tigé Boats is proud to announce that the Tigé Pro-Am Wakeboard Championships will be held October 19-21 in Cancun, Mexico. Presented by RockStar Energy Drink, the premier event is the final contest of the 2007 wakeboarding season and will cap seven months of intense training and fierce competition.

“The level of intensity at this event is matched only by the level of talent involved,” said Sean Dishman of World Sports and Marketing. “The entire wakeboarding season comes down to this one event, so everyone is at the top of their game and riding their hardest.”

The format for the Tigé Pro-Am Wakeboard Championships is unique. A “skins” format will be used again with riders accumulating points for skins as long as they keep winning. The rider with the most wins or skins will be declared the winner after Sunday’s competition.

This year’s 5th annual Tigé Pro-Am Championship will feature nine divisions of water sports: amateur boys, junior men, open men, amateur women, pro men, pro women, pro wakeskate, amateur wakeskate and women’s wakeskate.

The Tigé Pro-Am Wakeboard Championship is also the final event of the 10-stop King of Wake series. There will be a $25,000 cash prize, the largest payout in the history of the sport. In addition to being the prime sponsor for the event, Tigé will also be the official towboat of the event.
